Two festivals on Independence Day, one in the North and one in South of Goa. As Socorro, Bardez celebrates Patoiencem Fest, Carmona, Salcette celebrates Ekvottacho Dis. Its a festivals of old games of Goa with a majority of villagers, young and old taking part. Also a variety of goan sweets, music , dances are performed. This festival was launched a few years ago with the guidance of Fr Agnelo Rodrigues then parish priest of Carmona church and villagers.
